Hi! I’m Chef Laura, founder of Cooking by Laura. As a personal chef and caterer, I’m here to make your life easier—and healthier. My mission is to provide you with meals that are both nourishing and delicious.

LAURA MODIGLIANI

After graduating from Natural Gourmet Institute, the nation's premier health-supportive culinary school, Laura cooked in some of New York City’s best farm-to-table restaurants, from the large James Beard award-winning ABC Kitchen by Michelin star chef Jean-Georges to the intimate Northern Italian favorites al di la Trattoria and Rucola in Brooklyn. Laura has also worked for catering companies, and is trained and certified in food safety.

Laura is committed to using the freshest ingredients, including organic produce, whole grains, grass-fed meats and wild, sustainable seafood. She combines seasonal food with international flavors and spices, from Mediterranean to Asian.

She will customize your meals according to your dietary needs and preferences. She can create a satisfying and balanced dairy-free, gluten-free, or vegetarian menu, with a variety of entrees and sides to mix and match.

Laura will save you valuable time—menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking, portioning, packaging, and cleaning. She can create a week’s worth of all-natural meals for your family, or a plated three-course dinner for a special occasion.

In addition to personal chef services, she is available for private cooking classes and events, from casual brunches to elegant cocktail parties.
